Testator: William SINGER, Gent of Buckland Dinham Legacies: • The annuity of £25 p.a. settled on my sister Elizabeth PHIPPEN by the will of my late father Walter SINGER dated 25 Jul 1798 to be paid to her as mentioned below • Three closes called ROSSITERs, part of my freehold estate, consisting of the Bell Inn, brewhouse, cellars, small stable, garden and two closes called Little Whetstone and Pond Close and one cellar and two stables on land part WHITCHURCH's, also one half of an estate called YEALs, all in Buckland D, for my unexpired interest in them To my nephew Charles WEAVER, subject to paying £5 p.a. to Elizabeth PHIPPEN as part of her annuity • One third part [?] in an estate late George WEAVERs and the entirety of a field called Charlgrove, also a piece of wood land adjoining Sir George BAMPFYLDE's wood, to my nephew James WEAVER his heirs and assigns for ever • New Close and a close called WHETSTONEs and that part of the Downs which belongs to COOKs Estate to the sd James WEAVER, also a tenement or dwelling house, malt house, outbuildings, garden and a paddock [sic] of ground late FRANK [?], also one half of an estate called YEALs, all in Buckland D, for my unexpired interest in them, subject to a payment of [£4] pounds p.a. to Elizabeth PHIPPEN as part of her annuity • Piece of land called Poor Tining To my nephew John WEAVER, his heirs etc. for ever • Two closes called BUNNs Bottom Ground and Henley, all in Buckland D, for my unexpired interest in them, subject to a payment of £3 p.a. as part of her annuity to sd John WEAVER • Piece of land called BULLENs and lands [?] in Green Close to my nephew Richard WEAVER, his heirs etc. for ever, • Leasehold property called BREWERs Estate to the sd Richard WEAVER for my unexpired interest in it, subject to payingf £3 p.a. to Elizabeth PHIPPEN as part of her annuity • Piece of land called CLAYs Orchard in the psh of Buckland D to my nephew William PHIPPEN, his heirs etc. for ever, also that piece of land called John Lin in the psh of Elm • Estate called WHITCHURCH to the sd William PHIPPEN, except the part bequeathed to my nephew Charles WEAVER, and also that part of BUNNs called Sutton Hind Hays and the Moor, being leasehold, for all my unexpired interest in them, subject to a payment of £3 p.a. to Elizabeth PHIPPEN as part of her annuity; the property bequeathed to William PHIPPEN and the rents to be retained by his father William PHIPPEN until he is 21 and applied for his maintenance and education • Piece of land called BUNNs Moor to my niece Joanna PHIPPEN, her heirs etc. for ever. • A tenement or dwelling house garden etc, part of COOKs Estate to the sd Joanna PHIPPEN, also four cottages called Late Moors, all in Buckland D, being leasehold, for my unexpired interest in them, subject to a payment of £3 p.a. to Elizabeth PHIPPEN as part of her annuity • Leasehold property called LACEYs in Buckland D to my niece Hester PHIPPEN, her Exors etc., for all my unexpired interest in it, subject to a payment of £2 p.a. to Elizabeth PHIPPEN as part of her annuity • Tenement or dwelling house etc. called MORGANs Tining in Buckland D to my sister Elizabeth PHIPPEN, her Exors etc. for all my unexpired interest in it, subject to a charge of £2 p.a., the remaining part of her annuity • Leasehold property called DURINs in Buckland D to my sister Mary WEAVER, her Exors etc. for all my unexpired interest in it • The residue of my estate to my nephews Charles and James WEAVER, their heirs etc., to be sold with all convenient speed and pay the following legacies out of the proceeds: - £150 to my sister Elizabeth PHIPPEN - £100 to my sister Mary WEAVER - £400 to my nephew John WEAVER - £400 to my nephew Richard WEAVER - £400 to my nephew William PHIPPEN, when he is 21, or if dies before without issue, to be equally divided between his sisters Joanna and Hester - £400 to my niece Joanna PHIPPEN - £400 to my niece Hester PHIPPEN, all of the payments to my nephews and nieces to be made in four yearly instalments - The ultimate residue to my nephews Charles and James WEAVER, their heirs etc. in equal shares Witnesses: William FAIRBANKS, Solr, Frome; George HUMPHRYS, Samuel LINTERN Will dated: 23 Jan 1828 Executors: Charles and James WEAVER Proved: 27 Aug 1829 at PCC London by Charles and James WEAVER, nephews, Exors PRO reference: PROB11/1760 q.506
